NOTE: Please see the 4 min video fully.

A. Setting up Diagraming Editor yEd and Converter. Please follow this order. See Video for more clarity. 

  1. Install diagramming Editor yEd. Select either the Windows installation (preferably) or Java. yEd if a Freeware and very secure software with extensive customer support and client forum.
    1. Option 1: Windows. Preferable and Easiest, better but you will need permission from your Admin.
    2. Option 2: Java. You will need permission to run Java Runtime (JRE)  (easier and almost always allowed from IT).
    3. Option 3: Java without installation of Java Runtime (JRE) . See relevant Post.
  2. Download and unzip latest LogicReader_Rxx_Toolkit.zip. Do not run the files from the unzipped folder. 
  3. Open “LogicReader_xx.accde” by selecting either 32 bit or 64 bit version.
  4. Remove the possible security warning because of the embedded macros, then re-open the file. Follow instructions
  5. Click “SetUp Yed”. This action will update the USER settings folder from step 2. See Video.
  6. Open yEd.

B. Setting up P6 export reports for Converter. Please follow this order. See Video for more clarity

  1. Add the four “*.erp” P6 Reports from “\Settings\P6 Report definition files” folder. Do not change or modify the reports in P6. See Video.
  2. Create a new P6 Batch Report so you can run all 4 reports together. See Video.
  3. See Post “How to convert a P6 Schedule into an editable Network Diagram” regarding creating your 1st Network diagram from P6.

C. Set up MSP to view exports from Converter. Please follow this order. See Video for more clarity

  2. Import View for converter input files. See Video.
